How we create Time Standards
Each Time is based on County Time Standards (Gold); Contra Costa County Meet is an elite meet held after the conclusion of each VSA season for swimmers who qualify. For the other time standards, a percentage of the County qualifying time is added:

Each Time Standard = (County Time + %) Rounded to the nearest second
Estimated Time Standards Bell Curve
Though there is some variation each year and in each age group, there is an approximate percentage of swimmer entries we anticipate in each time standard when entering the VSA meet:
