Coach Sean has spent over two decades teaching kids to be collaborators, learners, and swimmers. He empowers his athletes with peer leadership at every age level in order to develop physical, mental, and social skills that will apply to all aspects of their lives.
Sean has coached with all four of his siblings, even discussing skill techniques over family dinners and Thanksgiving reunions. Through hard work and experimental innovation, they developed a style of team leadership that is dynamic and unique, which empowers all athletes and enables program development. Sean has gained valuable insights during his pilgrimage to the peninsula, where he coached the SOLO Aquatics and Eichler Swim Teams simultaneously, and is happy to be bringing that knowledge back to the East Bay. You may meet his lovely wife, Lily, and his daughter, Violet, or little Finnick who all participate in the Sycamore swim programs.

Hi Stingrays! I’m so excited to join you for my first year of coaching at Sycamore this summer! I’ve been swimming basically my entire life. I swam for Monte Vista High School all four years and with my club team, Diablo Aquatics. I just finished my freshman year as a Division 1 swimmer and record holder at Pepperdine University. I swim sprint butterfly, backstroke, and freestyle events. I love the sport, but even more importantly the memories and people I’ve met along the way! I love coaching all age groups, and have experience with kids of all ages through private lessons and Pepperdine clinics. I’m excited to bring a new perspective and great energy to the pool deck. I can’t wait for the great season ahead!

Hi Stingrays! I'm Miranda Duarte and I'm very excited to be back this summer. I've been competitively swimming for over 13 years and coaching for 7 years. I love working in and out of the water, but I'm looking forward to making this season as fun as possible. I graduated from Cal High but now, I'm going into my third year at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. I sing in a jazz/r&b band called Laminated List, I love music, and I am always snacking. Let's make this a great season. Go Stingrays!
Hi Stingrays! I am excited to be back and coaching you guys this summer! I've swam for the Stingrays for 10 years and have jr. coached for 6 of those years. I swam all four years at Monte Vista High School and am currently at Cuesta College. At Cuesta, I am on the water polo team and the captain of the 2024 conference-champion swim team. I love coaching and have spent this spring as the Head Coach of the league-winning varsity and junior varsity boys swim team at Morro Bay High School. I enjoy working with all age groups and I specialize in butterfly, freestyle, backstroke, dives, and underwaters. Go Stingrays!

Hey Stingrays, my name is Brendan and I started swimming for Sycamore when I was just 3 years old. I swam as a Stingray for 15 years and last year I started coaching. In addition to swimming for the Stingrays, during high school I swam at De La Salle. I am now going into my third year at Seattle University and during my first year I set the freshman record for the 200 Breast. I have qualified for the National Invitational Championship twice, and this May I will be competing in Ireland with the hope of earning a spot on the Irish National Team or the Irish Olympic team. I am excited to bring experience and great attitude to the team this summer!
